Phantasm was a winning entry in the West Cork Chamber Music Festival Composition Competition 2016.
Phantasm was written as a sister piece to my string quartet Monster which was premiered at the West Cork Chamber Music Festival in 2015. Both pieces are programmatic in nature and my intention with Phantasm was to create a work with a more subdued character. It is structured as a single movement where the three main ideas flow seamlessly into each other without pause.
