'Solid study', for viola and quadraphonic recording/playback system is a study of musical object in my work. The object undergoes transformations of pitch, rhythm and timbre, each of which has a specific location within the performance space. These different perspectives are all drawn from the same root and over time build up a unified and solidified impression of the object as a whole.
