My soundscape composition Ravens and Resonances will be performed at the Musica Festival Strasbourg 2026 at Stitch ‘n’ Bitch, as part of the SARC contribution to the event.

Ravens and Resonances is a soundscape composition created from field recordings made at Barnaslingan Woods in the Dublin Mountains. Ravens become mediators between human bodies and the more-than-human world. In the first section, ravens perch upon an electricity pylon, their movements and calls captured through geophones resonating through the structure, reflecting on an embodied awareness of our environment and how wildlife adapts to manmade worlds. In the second section, their calls challenge the anthropocentric voice of humanity as represented in Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven, asking what these birds might communicate beyond the words we place in their mouths.

A night of Ireland in experimental clubbing mode: bodies on alert, diverted folk, nervous machines and spatialised sounds. From Dublin to Belfast, YARD pushes electro-noise towards physical impact; Zoë Mc Pherson shifts the energy of the dancefloor into more unstable zones; while Lullahush reassembles Irish folk into a glitchy, tender and futuristic material. SARC offers a sample of its immersive sound research, while a~a~r~d~e~n~t blends Gaelic song, synths and Atlantic rain into a Franco-Irish future-folk. ELLL extends this journey with fragmented rhythms and deep bass frequencies that reshape the listening space.
