School of Wild Listening: Listening Group Open Call / by Robert Coleman

Over the year the School of Wild Listening has invited various guest artists to lead our listening groups.
Now it’s your turn!

What is it? An open call for anybody who would like to share insights of the wild world around us through sound.

(Submit your work at the form here by December 15th 2023)

Whether you’re a total beginner or a professional, it is an opportunity for anybody who makes field recordings/soundscape compositions/ecological sound art or music of any kind to share their work and ideas and get to know each other in a casual and open listening group.
You can come to present your own work or recordings, or simply to listen and get to know other people and the work they do.
You can submit any length of work/recording for presentation – from a 2 minute field recording taken in your back garden or a 15 minute soundscape composition you’ve been working on. Everything is welcome and we’ll try our best to accommodate everybody who submits.

When is it? Tuesday 19th December at 7pm at Unit 44 (Kirkos) Stoneybatter, Dublin.
If you would like to submit a work please submit the details through the form in our bio by
December 15th.

Please only submit work to this call if you will be present for the listening group on December 19th, 7pm at Unit 44.

You are welcome to make multiple submissions.
